Our client has the most stunning hotel and spa in the beautiful lake district.


Hotel boasts 87 bedrooms and suites as well as the luxurious The Falls Spa. With a 2 AA rosette fine dining Lake View Restaurant; elegant 1 AA rosette Mizu pan-Asian restaurant set against the spectacular backdrop of the Lodore Falls waterfall and providing the ideal setting for the perfect wedding.


A Spa Manager is required to join the award-winning The Falls Spa at Lodore Falls Hotel in the beautiful Lake District, just outside Keswick.


Situated in a beautiful purpose-built building and surrounded by glorious award-winning landscaped gardens, The Falls Spa is unique and unforgettable, with a multitude of indoor and outdoor facilities.


Inside the Spa are 5 treatment rooms, a 4-person rasul, champagne Bar serving light refreshments, and a thermal suite comprising of a laconium, aroma steam room, herbal sauna, salt steam room, ice fountain, drench showers and heated relaxation loungers.


Outside the piece de resistance of the Lake District Spa is the 16-metre infinity edge hydrotherapy pool with neck jets, underwater loungers with spectacular views to Derwentwater and the Catbells Mountain Range.

To complete the outside experience, take a seat in the glass-fronted Finnish sauna and finish with an open-air cold drench bucket and hot shower for a full water and heat experience.


The Role

We are seeking to recruit an exceptional Spa Manager with a minimum of 3 years’ experience gained in a similar 4- or 5-star environment with spa and beauty facilities. Ideally you will be NVQ Level 3 qualified with Elemis training being a great advantage.


As Spa Manager you will build professional relationships with guests and lead the team in demonstrating a customer focused service. You will have a passion for customer experience specifically regarding relaxation and wellness, excellent personal presentation, the ability to plan and problem solve effectively, business acumen and sales awareness. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Spas facilities and staff and monitor the Spa’s financial performance.

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the spa and treatment centre.
  • Leading the team to excellence in regards to treatment quality, sales results, customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Recruitment, training & development of the team in line with company guidelines and market development.
  • Creating a strong team spirit and working closely with other hotel departments.
  • Constantly and consistently working on and looking at new ways to drive the best business.
  • Handling guest feedback and building and maintaining a loyal guest following.
  • Managing expenses to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Possess hands-on experience in the spa and wellness field with an attitude to deliver.
  • Be a service-oriented team player and have the ability to create a work environment which sparks creative thinking and innovation.
  • Work closely with the marketing team promote all aspects of The Falls Spa.
  • Improve, implement and monitor standards, procedures and technology developments and upgrades.
  • Ultimately, somebody who knows how to create long-lasting memorable experiences – whether that is as a guest or a member of the team!
