£35,000 per annum plus £3k bonus

My client is a private members club within a hotel close to Knightsbridge.

They have approximately 260 members and hotel guests are also allowed to use the club for a fee.

 

There are 10 staff of which this ranges from fitness instructors to beauty therapists and reception.

 

For this role, we require someone who has both some health club and membership experience, fitness and beauty experience.

A strong leader who can gain quick respect from a team and who loves the interaction with guests and members but who is also financially aware and can continue to drive the business forward.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• To deliver an outstanding leisure club experience for members and hotel guests, ensuring a consistently high level of customer service.
• To monitor the financial performance of Aquilla, making recommendations for growth and development.
• To develop a sales culture through fitness, treatments & retail to maximise revenue in all areas.
• To manage Spa sales through repeat business, 3rd party websites and a specific marketing strategy in conjunction with the HO Marketing team
• To manage the Swimming Rocks contract to ensure maximisation of revenue from swimming lessons
• Ensure the health and safety of guest and employees in the club
• To manage the team, ensuring the workload is managed effectively, and that standards of service and operating standards are maintained as per company SOP Manual and taking action to rectify any shortfalls identified.
• To carry out appraisals and performance review process with the team in order to improve standards, motivate team members and develop their skills.
• Duty Management as required – (On average 1 x Early or Late shift per week)

 

Essential Qualifications/ Skills/Experience:

 

• 3-5 years of Health Club Management Experience, ideally within a hotel environment.
• Experience in a sales culture with the desire and proven ability to grow sales through management of 3rd party websites as well as direct sales and the ability to drive the team to meet company targets
• Experience in beauty management and a passion for health and Fitness a must.
• Very customer focused with the ability to build professional relationships with members and employees.
• Must be I.T. literate and used to electronic booking & management systems. Knowledge of XN Protel & Opera an advantage
• First Aid and Pool Plant Certificates advantageous
• Ability to manage diary, plan and organise effectively.
• The ability to manage situations and problem solve effectively.
• Analytical with the ability to make business decisions.
• Have excellent command of written & spoken English
